Railway Checks – EU Regulation 402/2013
VERICERT verifies the adequacy of risk management procedure application to changes to the railway system, as an assessment body (As.Bo.), as specified by Regulation (EU) No. 402/2013, in particular for the following subsystems:
- Rolling stock;
- Command-Control and Signalling (CCS) equipment;
- Maintenance.
Proposers apply the common safety method to modifications made to vehicles, components and/or their maintenance and VERICERT issues the independent assessment report. In particular, the experience of our inspectors concerns the following changes:
- Changes to work vehicles for the adaptation of RFI’s roadmap;
- Modifications to shunting locomotives for compliance with ANSFISA Decree No. 1/2023;
- Changes to event recording systems, departure and vigilante for work vehicles and shunting locomotives following hardware and software updates;
- Changes to rail vehicle maintenance plans following the return from the experience.
