Railway Interoperability Directive 2016/797/EU
DIRECTIVE (EU) 2016/797 on the interoperability of the rail system establishes:
“… the conditions to be fulfilled in order to achieve the interoperability of the Union’s rail system in a compatible way compatible with Directive (EU) 2016/798 on railway safety, in order to establish an optimal level of technical harmonization, in order to interoperability technical specifics rail transport services…”
VERICERT can certify any structural subsystem that falls into the categories “rolling stock” and “command-control and signalling (CCS)”, both by verifying compliance with the interoperatibility technical specifics (TSI) as a Notified Body (No.Bo.), and by ascertaining compliance with the national technical regulations as a Designated Body (De.Bo). In particular, the experience of our inspectors concerns the following subsystems:
- Work vehicles in general (new authorizations according to ANSF Decree No. 1/2016 and EN 14033 and EN 15746 standards, RFI roadmap changes, changes to authorized vehicles);
- Shunting locomotives (new authorizations, updates to ANSFISA Decree No. 1/2023);
- Shunting locomotives operating within private junctions (Trenitalia COCS54, TV41, LMTM and similar booklets);
- Event recording systems for work vehicles and shunting locomotives;
- Departure and surveillance systems for work vehicles and shunting locomotives;
- Interoperability constituents in general;
